The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Jikwoyi Zone FCT Abuja collaborated with Priests Peace & Justice Initiative to hold a 1-day stepdown training on Christianity. The fight against corruption and Income Generation for Ministers at Sanctuary of Love Church, opposite Karu Secondary School, Jikwoyi Abuja. The training focused on Drivers of corruption within and outside the church, Christianity and leadership, Christianity and accountability, Establishment and operationalization of the social arm of the church, strategic investment and income generation.
The purpose of the training was to deepen the understanding of the participants on drivers of corruption within and outside the church, how these drivers have caused corruption to thrive within and outside the church, to increase the awareness of participants of effective ways of tackling drivers of corruption within and outside the church and to appraise the efficacy of ongoing efforts at preventing corruption.
The training also underscored the principles of wealth creation and how to develop an investment mentality, because from the beginning of the project it became clear, that for some ministers to shun, speak up, and stand against Corruption, there is a need for some of them to generate income legitimately.
